MITHI, Feb 20: A session of the Tharparkar District Council was held here on Wednesday at the Karoonjhar Hall, under the convenership of Naib Nazim Ramsingh Sodho.

The thirty members of the opposition, who had boycotted the council’s session a couple of days back, did not attend the Wednesday session. However, 34 members, including nine women councillors, of the ruling group attended it.

The session demanded of the government to repair the X-Ray machine of the Nagarparkar hospital, repair its ambulance, turn the non-digital exchange of Nagarparkar into digital one, provide medicines to the dispensary of Sindhyan-Jo-Wandhyo, Nagarparkar, sanction Pucca road from Mithi to Manjhthi, sanction tube-well for village Nikno Bheel, and to provide electricity to Kharo Bajir, Bhakuo, Khebar Doda, Nathro, Taho, Tooh and Nuhario.

MISSING: Sodhi, 17, wife of Punhoon Bheel, has gone missing from village Vee Lanja, Diplo taluka, since Tuesday night.

After tracing her feet, the villagers found that she had accompanied two persons, who took her to Pucca road of Diplo.

HEALTH: A programme was organized by the health department at the Basic Health Unit of village Malahnore Veena, Mithi taluka, on Wednesday to create health awareness among the masses.
