KARACHI, Feb 7: Berthing activity was nil at the port during the last 24 hours, says a press release.
Meanwhile, two ships of containers and one of rice arrived at the outer anchorage during the period under review.
Berth occupancy remained at 60 per cent at the port where seven ships occupied berths on Tuesday to load unload containers, rice, edible oil, seeds, diesel oil, and coke, respectively.
A cargo volume of 94,248 tons comprising 79,834 tons of imports and 14,414 tons of exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 537 containers (Teus) was handled at the port during the same period.
The ships currently at the outer anchorage are: Difko Susanne (gas oil); Multan (rice); Jullieta (rice); ACX Jasmine (containers) and CMA Tulip (containers).
Nedlloyed Europa and CSAV Ningbo sailed out to the sea on Tuesday.
