KARACHI: Probe ordered into gang-rape

KARACHI, Feb 1: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has ordered investigation into the reported gang-rape of a girl near Obaro.

Taking notice of the report, he ordered the Sindh chief secretary and the IG to arrest immediately all those involved in the crime.

The governor also assured the affected family that justice would be done to them.

ACTION ORDERED: Sindh Home Adviser Waseem Akhtar taking serious notice of chopping of the male organ of a youth, Hazoor Bux Malik, arrested by Market Police Larkana, has ordered departmental action against DPO Operation Azeem Tunio, former SHO Khan Mohammad Tunio, SIO Inspector Amanullah Magsi and other staff of concerned police station.

The adviser directed the IG Police to ensure the incident is investigated by a high ranking official.

Following these directives, the IGP had appointed the SP Investigation Mushtaq Mahar as investigation officer.
