Rs20 airport entry fee imposed

Published January 26, 2007

RAWALPINDI, Jan 25: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to impose Rs20 entry fee per person for entering the premises of the Islamabad airport. The entry fee will be imposed from February 15. However, passengers having valid travelling tickets and government officials, vehicles would be exempted from the fee.

A CAA official said the imposition of the fee aimed to ensure the safety of passengers because the number of visitors coming to the airport to receive and see off passengers had been rising, causing inconvenience to the passengers as well as the airport management.
