ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: Shaheen Air International (SAI) has resumed its operations on different domestic and international routes from the Islamabad airport after a period of two years, says a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The domestic flights will operate between Islamabad and Multan/Karachi, and on international route to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.
The Shaheen Air International flights were suspended due to a legal battle between the airline and its general sales agent (GSA). However, it has restarted the operations after the tourism ministry informed the airline that it had so far not renewed the license of the GSA.
The press release said the airline suffered losses running into millions due to suspension of its flights from Islamabad airport, and even the government had to suffer a huge loss under the head of various taxes.
