KARACHI, Feb 19: Pakistan Turkey Business Council of the FPCCI signed a joint communique with its Turkish counterparts on sectoral meetings held between private sector of Pakistan and Turkey on February 16 at the Federation House.
The joint communique was signed in the field of contracting, construction and construction material, foodstuffs and agro business, auto parts and automobiles, textile machinery and equipment, chemical and pharmaceuticals, IT and computers, kitchenware and glasses.
According to FPCCI’s press release, both sides agreed to undertake joint projects in Pakistan in specified sectors as well as construction projects in Afghanistan.
The Pakistani side explained that certain initial steps are needed to be taken for opening a bonded warehouse and banking facilities in the border areas besides introduction of zero-rated arrangement between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
According to joint communique, both the countries will join hands in exploration of construction possibilities in Afghanistan. It was also decided that both sides will exchange frequent exchange of delegation, which will lead to further promotion of existing trade and joint venture possibilities.
Chairman, All Pakistan Contractors Association (APCA), Akbar Shaikh, offered Turkish side to hold exhibition in Lahore also for which APCA will provide free space.
