KARACHI: Whirling dervishes due

KARACHI, Jan 15: “Whirling Dervishes”, a cultural troupe of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, will be in Karachi from January 16 to 18, 2007 to participate in the “Hamara Karachi” festival.

They will perform the spiritual dance, “Mevlavi Sema” twice during their stay.

The group will stage a short performance at the inter-faith evening today January 16th, at the KMC Building in Karachi.

The second a full performance, will take place also at the KMC Building on January 17th will be organised for the guests of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey and City Naib Nazim.
