KARACHI, Jan 15: The municipal administration of Saddar Town on Monday organised a free tour in victoria in connection with the ‘Hamara Karachi’ programme of the city government.

Scores of people, particularly children, took keen interest in the tour in the four-wheeled carriage with folding top and an elevated driver's seat in front.

Led by Town Nazim Muhammad Dilawar, it started from the Radio Pakistan building, said a statement issued on Monday.

After passing through different thoroughfares, the carriage returned to the spot where it had begun its tour.

Naib Nazim of the town Nasir Temori, Naib Nazim of UC-2 Raeesuddin and Naib Nazim of UC-5 Muhammad Waseem Qadri also participated in the tour.

Meanwhile, popular singer Najam Shiraz enthralled a large number of audience at a programme held in connection with the `Hamara Karachi’ festival at the Eidgah ground of Korangi 3-1/2.

Speaking at the occasion, Town Nazim Arif Khan urged the people to help the administration keep the town clean.
