KARACHI, Jan 14: The third international exhibition of home and building products, IAPEX-2007, organised by the Institute of Architects Pakistan, here at Karachi Expo Centre concluded on Sunday.
President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Majyd Aziz was the chief guest.
On the occasion, he gave away shields and certificates to architects and exhibitors.
The three-day IAPEX-2007 exhibition was held from Jan 12 to 14.
The IAPEX-2007 is the first of the series of events to celebrate the golden jubilee year of the institute of Architects of Pakistan.
IAPEX-2007 showcased traditional and contemporary home products and building material and finishes, furnishings, hardware, building chemicals, electrical, plumbing and air- conditioning related equipment, home furnishings, home decor, furniture, fixtures and fittings, garden tools and accessories, and many other related building and home products manufactured in Pakistan and abroad.
Architects, home owners, contractors, builders and people from all walks of life attended the exhibition in great numbers.
The institute of Architects of Pakistan, along with the exhibition also organised an international architectural forum titled “Emerging Architecture” in which renowned architects from 10 countries gave presentations.
The IAPEX 2007 was inaugurated by the Karachi City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal.—APP
