Four shot dead

MARDAN, Jan 12: Four persons, including a minor, were killed and three suffered injuries when a proclaimed offender opened fire on his rivals during a marriage ceremony in Qamargai village on Friday.

According to an FIR, accused Fayyaz Haleem and his accomplices opened fire on Azad Gul.

Azad Gul, who received fatal injuries, died at the district headquarters hospital, whereas Zaridad, Salih Mohammad alias Saloo and a child Saifullah died before receiving any medical aid.

Three other wounded persons were taken to the district hospital.

Azad Gul’s nephew Anargul, who also suffered injuries, had lodged an FIR against Fayyaz Haleem, Dilzada, Bahader Sher, Mirawas and Amazai at a local police post.

Sources said that Fayyaz Haleem was already wanted to the district police in two murder cases.
