Peshawar to host Olympic qualifier

LAHORE, Jan 7: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), has allotted the second leg match against Singapore in the 29th Olympic Games qualifying round in Peshawar. The match will be held at the Qayyum Stadium, on Feb 14. It will be the first international soccer activity in Peshawar after two years. Last time India played a match.

Singapore will hold the first leg match on Feb 7. The winner of the match will appear in second round (Group A) along with Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.

Before 2005, international activity at Qayyum Stadium , was witnessed in 1985, when North Koreans edged out Bangladesh 1-0 to win the 3rd Quaid-i-Azam International Tournament.
