KARACHI, Feb 18: All exporters of finished products where no further value addition is required should be included in the gold category in respect of refund of sales tax claims.
This demand was raised by a delegation of Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association led by its chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan in a meeting with collector, sales tax (East) Nisar Muhammad here on Monday.
Presently the gold category is being given to all category of exporters whether it is a finished products, intermediary products or raw material. The gold category holders are entitled to receive refunds of sales tax and customs rebate on a priority basis.
