Data about foreigners

LAHORE, Dec 20: The Punjab government begun on Wednesday enlisting all foreigners residing or working in the province. The government had set up on Tuesday a team to compile data on the foreigners. The Punjab Home Department special secretary heads the team.

Sources said the team had been tasked to enlist every foreigner with details of his or her purpose of staying in Pakistan.

The team met and discussed all resources they could utilise to collect maximum information. Ate first, the team would verify the information about the foreigners the home department already had, and in the next phase police would be asked to update this data, the sources added.
