KARACHI, Dec 20: Chairman Businessmen Panel Tariq Saeed has announced that the seventh candidate Ahsan Farid from Bhimber Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has also been elected unopposed as vice president of the FPCCI after the withdrawal of his opponent Chaudhry Javed Iqbal, says a press release.
He said that other six vice presidents belonging to the Businessmen Panel and elected unopposed are: Azhar Saeed Butt and Qamar Zaman Gill from Punjab; Farooq Dadabhoy and Zubair F. Tufail from Sindh; Khursheed Ahmed Jogezai from Balochistan; and Fazal Elahi from NWFP.
Sheikh Tanvir Ahmed has already been elected unopposed as president FPCCI.
The new office bearers and managing committee will take over from Jan 1, 2007, he added.
