KARACHI, Dec 12: Three ships carrying crude oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where two ships, Opal, an oil tanker and Gallant Wave to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Jade-C, Amasis, Ju Fu Men, Goldensari Indah, and Nantor, while Jaeger, Gallant Wave, Opal, Oel Esteem and Acx Mimosa are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 92,284 tons comprising 24,830 tons of export cargo including 15,797 tons of clinkers and 67,454 tons of import tonnage was handled. The following ships are due on Wednesday: Lalazar with crude oil, Y.M. Mondego and Hyundai Sprinter with containers.
