KARACHI: Man murders ex-wife, parents

KARACHI, Dec 7: A man killed his former wife and her parents in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Thursday morning.

The Gulistan-i-Jauhar police station SHO said Nusrat Shah along with his wife Zaigham Bibi and daughter Zaitoon were murdered by Zaitoon’s former husband in Chaman Iqbal Colony, Gulistan-i-Jauhar around 11am.

Zaitoon had gone to see her daughter who had been in her father’s custody after a recent divorce. Zaitoon was accompanied by her parents.

Citing serious discord as a reason behind the gruesome incident, the SHO said Habibullah stabbed to death his former wife and mother-in-law with a dagger and used a pistol to shoot Nusrat Shah and escaped. The victims hailed from Swabi in the NWFP. Investigation police suspected that the killer might have fled to his native town in the NWFP.
