LAHORE, Feb 16: The National Accountability Bureau filed on Saturday a reference against Lands and Cantonments Director-General Abdul Naeem Khan for misuse of office and amassing illegal assets.
An accountability court supplied on Saturday copy of the reference to the accused and fixed March 1 to chargesheet him.
Mr Khan allegedly made illegal assets valued at Rs7.3 million and had misused his official position. He allegedly allotted two plots, worth Rs3.61 million, illegally in the name of his children. He also approved construction of houses to Eden Avenue Society, Lahore, without NoC. In Rawalpindi also, he had illegally extended lease to Pakistan Burmah Shell for an area of 1577.7 square yards.
NAB also alleged that Mr Khan was maintaining 10 foreign currency accounts in his and children’s names and had US $ 73,566 in them.—APP
