KARACHI, Nov 20: Two young sisters died in a house fire in Korangi on Monday night. Their mother and brother have been admitted to the Civil Hospital with severe burns. The two sisters were four and seven years old.

The fire broke out in a shanty town, affecting between 120 and 150 huts, occupied mostly by Bangladeshi-origin people. At least four shanties were gutted.

Police said early indications suggested that it had not been an accidental fire. They said a property dispute could be behind the arson attack.
