Over Rs300,000 looted

RAWALPINDI, Nov 20: Two armed robbers snatched Rs398,000 from the owner of a gas station while he was on his way to deposit the money with a bank in Sadiqabad on Monday, police said.

Jameelur Rehman, the owner of Inayat Gas Station, was heading towards a bank when two persons riding a bike intercepted him in Sadiqabad area and forced him to hand them over the bag containing Rs398,000.

Meanwhile, auto-thieves deprived four persons of their vehicles in different parts of the city.

Qayoom Khan’s car (RIT-7886) was stolen from Saddar, while Muhammad Zafar’s car (LZU-8826) was stolen in the jurisdiction of Cantt police.—Staff Reporter
