KARACHI, Nov 12: Enforcement of Nizam-i-Mustafa is panacea for the problems being faced by the nation, and Allama Shah Ahmed Noorani always believed in this as he devoted his entire life in striving for the attainment of this objective. The late Allama spread the message of Islam in every corner of the world.

This was observed by scholars and eminent figures who paid rich tributes to the person and services of Allama Shah Ahmed Noorani on the occasion of his third death anniversary at a ceremony held here on Sunday.

The largely attended ceremony was addressed, among others, by Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Leader of the opposition in Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Naib Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Allama Jamil Ahmed Naeemi and Sahibzada Anas Noorani. A scholar from Syria, Shaikh Mohyuddin Al-Mehdi, delivered his speech in Arabic as his followers, who had come from different parts of the country, were among the audience.

The speakers paid glowing tributes to the services of the late Allama to Islam and the nation, as well as for the cause of democracy and enforcement of Nizam-i-Mustafa in the country.

They stressed investigations into both Bajaur and Dargai incidents and said that the facts be brought before the nation.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad said: “Today, the Islamic world is facing invasion by infidels of their culture and territory… the entire Ummah ought to unite and face the challenge with full force to defeat the evil powers.”

He appealed to Pakistani people to unite under the banner of the MMA and launch a decisive movement against the present rulers.

Mian Raza Rabbani said: “Had Allama Noorani been amongst us today, the scenario of politics would have been different.”

Mufti Muneebur Rehman said that the best way to pay homage to the late Allama was to carry forward his mission by strengthening his Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan.

Sahibzada Anas Noorani said that on this day, all followers of the late leader should renew their resolve to fulfil his mission and get rid of the oppressive rule for the enforcement of Nizam-i-Mustafa in the country.

Allama Jamil Ahmad Naeemi described Allama Noorani, who was president of the MMA, as a great politician and religious scholar.

Prof Ghafoor Ahmad recalled the role Allama had played during the movement for Nizam-i-Mustafa under the banner of the Pakistan National Alliance and his contributions towards framing of the 1973 Constitution.
