LAHORE Feb 15: Roan gelding, Leo, a fresh arrival from Karachi, looks good in the Qutab-ud-Din Aibak Cup to be run over seven furlongs at the Lahore Racecourse on Saturday.

The cup race features a six-event card of the 19th Lahore Winter Meeting to be contested by a dozen class IV & V acceptors, if there are no last-minute withdrawals.

The meeting scheduled for Sunday has been advanced by a day because of Basant being celebrated in Lahore on Sunday.

Leo is in emphatic form after gaining an easy one-and-a-half length success in the Stewards Cup race at the down country racing centre, Karachi, on Feb 4.

However, it is yet to be seen how he likes the going on the green grass track of Lahore Racecourse. This will be the fifth race of the day.

The closest rivals of Leo could be bay filly Cisco Magic, bay mare Run Way Lady and bay gelding Think Thank.

Of the six events, three will be contested over seven furlongs while the remaining three will be decided over the sprinting distance of six furlongs. The first race will start at 12.30 pm.
