SYEDWALA, Oct 28: A robber was killed in an encounter with police on the Lahore-Jaranwala Road late on Friday.

According to police, Tariq alias Tarqi, along with his accomplice, was standing near Kali Morr when a police party of Mangtanwala reached there. The robbers opened fire on the police who retaliated as a result of which Tariq died on the spot. His accomplice made good his escape.

Police said the deceased was involved in 25 cases of murder, robbery and other heinous crimes.—APP
