LAHORE, Oct 20: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will launch a programme for the training, coaching and scouting of cricket talent at all levels from Nov 1.
In the first category, a future players programme will be carried on in consultation with Director Cricket Academies Mudassar Nazar and national selection committee. Under the scheme around 30 players from all 11 regions affiliated with the PCB will be selected to raise their standard of skills to national and international level from Nov 1 to 15.
Under talent hunt coaching programme, talented boys from FATA, Azad Kashmir, Bannu, Kohat and some cities of Balochistan would be selected. The programme will continue from mid of November to early December, 2006.
In its second phase, which will start from January, 2007, the talented boys from interior Sindh such as Sukkur, Larkana, Thatta, Shikrpur, Dadu, Nawabshah, Hyderabad and some districts of Southern Punjab like Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan and Khanewal, will be picked for further training.
In the third category, the talent will be spotted from schools from Dec, 2006 to May 2007.
