HYDERABAD, Feb 14: The dismissed women primary teachers held Quran khwani outside the office of Latifabad Taluka Nazim Abdul Jabbar Khan while a meeting of the committee appointed by District Hyderabad Nazim to review their cases was held at the office.

The meeting is reported to have recommended that the district Nazim should approach the Sindh governor for the reinstatement of 66 women primary teachers, whose services were terminated in 1998 after the scrutiny of their educational certificates.

Retd wing commander Q. Hakim, teachers’ representatives, Qazi Ameenuddin and Muneer Bhatti, and EDO, education, Mirza Eijaz Baig, attended the meeting which was presided over by the taluka Nazim.
