Ammunition, drugs seized

QUETTA, Feb 13: Two wings of the Frontier Corps — Pishin Scouts and Kharan Rifles— recovered huge quantity of heroin, hashish, and arms and ammunition on Wednesday from the border town Chaman and Azad Landi area, close to the border of Iran.

Troops launched an operation in the Azad Landi area on a tip off, and recovered 91 kg heroin, three powerful missiles, 59 bombs, 786 rounds of 14.5 MM gun, 38 rounds of 12.7 MM gun, 82 MM mortars, 3 bombs of 3 inch mortar and 6 land mines. But no one was arrested

The drugs, and illegal arms and ammunition were dumped in a ruined building.

In another raid conducted by Pishin scouts in the old Chaman area, over 100 kg of hashish recovered from a car, but the driver and other people sitting in the car fled. The FC men impounded the vehicle.

According to sources the Anti Narcotics Force, Dalbandin, also seized 47 kg of morphine from a motorcyclist the other day, between Dalbandin and Chather area of Chaghai District.
