KARACHI: 18 vehicles, 49 phones stolen

KARACHI, Sept 29: At least 18 vehicles and 49 cell phones were taken away in various city areas on Friday. Police said four cars were snatched and seven were stolen. Similarly, two motorcycles were snatched and five were stolen on Friday.

Police said 11 cell phones were taken away at gun-point while 33 more were stolen and five were missing.

BANK ROBBERY: Armed bandits robbed a bank of over Rs2.4 million in Gulberg on Thursday.

Police said that some six or seven armed men disarmed the security guards and entered the Gulberg branch of Allied Bank. They held the customers and staff members’ hostage at gunpoint.—Staff Reporter
