Young Proteas beat Garrison

LAHORE, Sept 27: A fine half-century by opener D. Oliver helped Wynberg High School, Cape Town (South Africa) defeat Garrison Academy, Lahore Cantt by nine wickets at the Bagh-i-Jinnah ground on Wednesday.

Set 130 to win, Oliver hit unbeaten 39-ball 52 as the visitors romped home in 14.2 overs for loss of one wicket.

No batsman of the Garrison Academy crossed the figure of 30 as all were out for 129 in 42.2 overs with off-spinner G. Stevens picking up three wickets for 23 runs.
