SUKKUR, Sept 16: Officials of the anti-corruption establishment along with the Mirpur Mathelo civil judge raided taluka hospitals in Mirpur Mathelo and Ubauro on Friday and seized record pertaining to salaries and other documents of four fake doctors.

Raids are being conducted on different places to arrest the doctors.

Anti-corruption Ghotki circle officer Himmath Ali Chandio said that fake doctors Ali Moosa, Karam Ali Shah, Muneer Memon and Akbar Ali Leghari were deputed as medical officers in Mirpur Mathelo and Ubauro.

He said that they possessed fake degrees and appointment letters and were drawing salaries for one year.

He said that doctors had been transferred from Khipro on deputation to Mirpur Mathelo and Ubauro taluka hospitals.

Mr Chandio said that about Rs3.9 millions had been drawn on account of doctors’ salary.

He said that senior officials of the hospitals were also involved in the scam as they were aware that doctors were possessing fake degrees of the LMC.

Ghotki EDO (health) Nisar Soomro said that the raid was conducted on both hospitals while bypassing me.
