Agitation to continue, says BNP

QUETTA, Sept 13: Leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) Rauf Mengal, who has quit his seat in the National Assembly, has said that the Baloch people would continue agitation until the military operation was stopped and an FIR is registered against President Musharraf.

Addressing a press conference at the MPA Hostel here on Wednesday, he said that Nawab Bugti’s killing and the humiliating way in which his body had been handled and the continuation of the military operation in Kohlu testified to the fact that there was no place for the Baloch people in the federation.

He was accompanied by the party’s vice-president Sajid Tareen, secretary-general Habib Jalib Baloch and former MPA Akhtar Lango.

Mr Rauf said that Nawab Bugti’s killing was discussed in Indian and Afghan parliaments but even a prayer for the departed soul was not allowed in our National Assembly.
