Tea auction

NAIROBI, Sept 13: Prices of Kenyan tea were mixed at this week's auction held on Tuesday, with top grade Brighter Pekoes Ones firming and many prices easing as the sale progressed, brokers said on Wednesday. There was fair demand for the 86,808 packages on offer which eased further with more withdrawals. BP1s changed hands at firmer prices between $2.28 and $2.50 per kg compared with $2.15 and $2.49 at the previous auction.—Reuters
