PESHAWAR: Trader shot dead

PESHAWAR, Feb 12: A medical store owner was killed by two brothers over a money dispute in Jhanda Bazaar on Monday.

Mohammad Pervez and his brother Jehanzab, sons of Mohammad Ashraf, residents of Sikandar Pura, were going to their medical store in Jhanda Bazaar, Hashtnagri, when two brothers, Manzoor Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad, opened fire at them killing Pervez on the spot. The murderers fled.

The cause of the murder was stated to be a dispute over Rs250,000.  

Hashtnagri police have registered a case.

DRUGS #SEIZED:# The Peshawar police seized 26kg charas, 5.5kg heroin, a klashnikov, 11 pistols and 400 cartridges and arrested 11 persons during checking on roads on Monday.

Those held are: Roman, resident of Wazir Ghari; Ghuncha Gul, resident of Dogra; Khyiali, resident of Dogra; Bakhtyar, resident of Peshawar; Abdul Aziz, resident of Kabul; Abdul Sami, resident of Kabul; Rehman Gul, resident of Bara; Toryali, resident of Kabul; Folad Khan and Murad Khan, residents of Bara.

#COP INJURED:#/ A constable of Eastern Police Station was injured by a bicycle rider on Monday.

Constable Arshad Kamal, while registering the FIR, claimed that in Defence Colony he saw two persons on bicycles with smuggled items.

When he tried to stop them, Noor Shad, son of Gondal, resident of  Tehkal Payan, opened fire with a pistol and injured him.
