Changes likely in team management

LAHORE, Sept 7: The Pakistan Cricket Board ad-hoc committee will approve the team management for the Oct-Nov ICC Champions Trophy in its next meeting which will be held in Karachi on Sept 12.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set Sept 14 as last date for submission of the team managements from the respective countries.

PCB Director Cricket Operations Salem Altaf said on Thursday that the agenda of the meeting had not yet been finalized but the meeting would have to approve the team management to meet the deadline set by the international body.

The issue of team management for the forthcoming event has gained a lot of importance in the backdrop of the Oval Test fiasco where team officials failed to handle matters in a discreet manner.

Many cricket experts criticized PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan and manager Zaheer Abbas for not dealing with the sensitive issue in a professional way.
