LAHORE, Sept 7: District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has placed the services of four doctors of the Town Hall medical centre at the disposal of the Punjab local government department on charges of wilful absence from duty, says a press release.
Taking a notice of public complaints regarding non-availability of staff at the Jinnah Hall medical centre, the nazim paid a surprise visit to the centre on Thursday and found that none of the doctors, including medical staff concerned, was present.
These officers include CDGL district officer (Health-II) Dr Rashid Rufi (BS-19), medical superintendent Capt Dr Muhammad Akram (BS-18), WMO Dr Rukhsana Zaheer (BS-17), medical centre SDS Dr Akhtar Husain Bokhari (BS-17).
