ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: A Russian delegation on Thursday visited the ministry of commerce and showed interest in exporting tractors to Pakistan. The delegation led by director of the foreign economic relations department, Ms Elena, met a deputy secretary of the ministry.
An official announcement said the delegation was told that the economy of the country was getting stronger and there was a substantial increase in exports too.
The Russian delegation expressed its interest in the fields of gas, oil and agriculture machinery.
The delegation also showed interest in the construction of power stations to counter the energy crisis in Pakistan.
The delegation was told that there was no ban on the import of tractors. Only new tractors could be imported on zero duty.—Our Reporter
