QUETTA, Sept 7: A two-judge bench of the Balochistan High Court has summoned the director general of the Quetta Development Authority (QDA) on September 11 with details about shifting of the Hazar Ganji bus terminal to the Satellite town.
The order came after Advocate Qahir Shah informed the court that shifting of the terminal had caused inconvenience to people of the area. He also sought time to file comments on behalf of the residents of the area.
The bench consisting of Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Mr Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani issued the order while hearing a constitutional petition of the owner of Al-Yousaf Coach Company. The petitioner submitted that he had applied for approval to construct a D class terminus on Sariab Road but the DCO Quetta rejected his application. The petitioner stated that he fulfilled all the requirements under the Motor Vehicle Rules 1969 and refusal to grant him the permission was unconstitutional.—APP
