KARACHI: Secretary transferred

KARACHI, Sept 7: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has, on the recommendation of Provincial Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat, approved the transfer of education secretary, for violation of government policy on recent recruitments in the education department.

Taking notice of the report, the Chief Minister gave approval to the transfer of Ghulam Ali Pasha, and ordered issuance of showcause notices to others involved in irregularities.

Dr Arbab strictly directed the newly appointed Secretary Sabhago Khan Jatoi to immediately revoke the offer letters in which merit was denied and these be issued to eligibile candidates.

The chief minister had recently received complaints of irregularities in recruitments in education department on which he had asked Irfanullah Marwat to inquire the matter and submit him a report.—APP
