KARACHI, Aug 28: Condemning brutal killing of veteran Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) said it has now “become a law whosoever differs with the regime will be killed”.

In a joint statement, JUP president Shah Anas Noorani and party's Supreme Council chairman Prof Shah Faridul Haq said Bugti, former provincial governor and chief minister, was supporter of federation of Pakistan and was against separation of Balochistan from the country.

Holding all ruling coalition parties responsible for Akbar Bugti's killing, they said a map recently published by US Armed Forces Journal contained a plan to separate Balochistan from Pakistan and “it seemed that 'Q-League' has been chosen for (accomplishing) this design”.

The JUP leader said those political parties, which promised to quit the government on Balochistan operation, should now fulfil their promise after the killing of the nationalist leader.—PPI
