NEW DELHI, Aug 26: The leaders of India and Pakistan are expected to resume their disrupted dialogue on Kashmir and other bilateral issues, including terrorism, The Indian Express reported on Saturday.

“Restoring mutual political confidence and reviving the peace process are expected to be at the top of the agenda when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh meets Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf on the sidelines of the non-aligned summit in Cuba next month,” the newspaper said.

The report appeared to be based on an informed briefing. It said New Delhi and Islamabad have decided to take advantage of the presence of the two leaders in Havana during mid-September for a candid high-level review of the peace process which has stalled since the Mumbai massacre last month.

In their talks, the two leaders are likely to reassess the core political assumptions of the peace talks that were launched in January 2004.
