22 selected for police constable posts

BADIN, Feb 11: Only 22 out of hundreds of candidates were declared successful in written tests and viva voce for 39 posts of police constables in Badin district.

As many as 1,398 youths applied for the posts and out of them 1,035 candidates appeared in the interviews conducted by a recruitment team led by SSP Police Training Centre, Karachi, and DPO Badin.

Only 258 qualified the interviews to appear in written test and only 22 of them were declared successful.

The recruitment team has said that no discrimination was shown in the recruitment and it was made in a transparent manner.

TEACHERS: About 150 members of Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA), district Badin, staged a demonstration here on Monday against the corruption in the district treasury office.
