SANGHAR, Feb 11: A kidnapped landlord Lalchand reached home here on Sunday after 77 days’ captivity.

Lalchand and Akmal Awan were kidnapped on Nov 26 last year while travelling in a wagon from Hyderabad to Sanghar.

The van was stopped by a gang of dacoits near Dalori Mori of Bhabhar Shakh.

Five persons were taken away, three of them were released at some distance but Lalchand and Akmal remained with dacoits since then.

After reaching home Lalchand told his brother Teekam Mal that dacoits blindfolded him before releasing him near Shahdadpur.

Teekam Mal confirmed that the dacoits had contacted over telephone and had demanded half a million rupees as ransom.
