Seher, Mustafa win titles

KARACHI, Aug 20: Top seed Seher Khwaja proved too good for second seed Anum Saeed when she whipped her in straight sets to win ladies crown of the Sindh ranking tennis tournament at DHA Sunset Club on Sunday.

The former national hard court champion was home 6-3, 6-2 to earn a winner’s purse of Rs2,000 while Anum was rewarded Rs1,000.

Mustafa Zaidi, the top seed, accounted for second seed Abdul Rehman 6-2, 6-4 to capture the boys under-13 singles title.

Nomi Qamar who won the men’s singles title the other day, received Rs4,000 while runner-up Yasir Khan got Rs2,000.

Results:

Ladies singles (final): Seher Khwaja beat Anum Saeed 6-3, 6-2.

Boys under-13 singles (final): Mustafa Zaidi beat Abdul Rehman 6-2, 6-4.
