LAHORE, Aug 20: Women belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) staged a silent demonstration against inflation outside the Lahore Press Club here on Sunday.

The demonstrators had sealed their mouths with tapes and were carrying pictures of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and banners and placards on which they had written slogans condemning the government for failure to control the prices of essential commodities.

PML leader Salma Butt, who led the demonstration, said that the women had tapped their mouths to demonstrate the condition of the common man whose voice was not heard by the rulers who had given a free hand to traders to sell essential commodities at exorbitant prices.
