SUKKUR: Sewerage water floods roads

SUKKUR, Feb 11. The commercial areas of the city have been submerged under sewage for the last four day causing inconvenience for the people coming for shopping and also for the shopkeepers whose business had been affected.

The dirty water has also entered the streets adjoining the roads.

The Sukkur municipal corporation has failed to drain out the dirty water.

It has also dug out ditches on the main roads for unknown purposes, which are also filled with sewage. The people specially the women while passing by these ditches often slip and get injured.

The citizens have demanded of the corporation authorities to arrange draining out of dirty water and to construct the road.

The worst affected main roads and market areas include Nishter Road, Grain Market, Liaquat Chowk, Dhak Road, Shahi Bazaar and many other parts of the city including the area around the civil hospital.
