KARACHI: KU dean passes away

KARACHI, Feb 11: The dean of Education faculty, University of Karachi, Dr Ismail Barohi, died on Monday at 11am. He was 58.

He leaves behind the widow, a son and a daughter.

Dr Barohi, who was also the principal of the Government College for Education, Federal B. Area, had been under treatment at the NICVD for the last one week, family sources said.

He will be buried in the new graveyard of Model Colony on Tuesday after Zuhar prayers. The funeral prayer will be held at Masjid-i-Qarni, Block-10, Gulshan-i-Iqbal at 1pm.

The vice chancellor of the University of Karachi, Dr Zafar Said Saify, has termed the death of the dean an irreparable loss to the academic and teaching circle.
