KARACHI, Aug 13: Sindh Secretary Education Ghulam Ali Shah has ordered all Executive District Officers and Educational Managers (Colleges) to ensure smooth functioning of educational institutions opening from Aug 16 after summer vacations and terminate those officials/employees from services who try to sabotage their functioning.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting at his office on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Special Secretary Karim Bukhsh Sarohi, Additional Secretaries Nawaz Shaikh and Qazi Arif Ali, Sindh Educational Manager (Colleges) Muhammad Ali Shaikh, regional managers of colleges and all EDOs Education of Sindh.
Mr Shah asked EDOs and regional managers to prepare a contingency plan with a clear strategy and take all out measure to ensure smooth opening and running of all educational institutions after summer vacations. He said all DCOs and DPOs had been requested to take stern action against those government employees who try to sabotage teaching atmosphere in the name of protest against the ban over associations.
He further said that Sindh government was fully determined to implement the decision of banning unions/associations activities in educational institutions. He directed all officials concerned to provide the list of government employees to department who were found taking law and order into hands in the name of protest on this decision and initiate strict action against them.—PPI
