LAHORE, Aug 12: The most significant test for Pakistan is to defend the title in the 10th South Asian Games, said Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) president Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat while addressing the general council meeting held here on Saturday.
“We won the titles in SAF Games in 1989, 1991 and 2004 and we want to retain it.”
Faisal said that the second national women championship would be held in Islamabad from Aug 18 in which Punjab would defend their title.
He said the PFF was paying special attention to improve the game at club level and some emerging clubs had come at the national scene.
Prominent among those clubs are PMC, which has raised itself to an A-division status and will join Wohaib Club and Afghan Club.
The PFF would also start national school championship soon, he said.
