MUMBAI, Aug 12: Indian cricket board would play no part in picking team for proposed Asian Super Sixes tournament to be held in Pakistan next month.
The tournament organisers have invited former India captain Saurav Ganguly to play in the tournament.
BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said cricket board does not come into the picture at all. “It is up to individual players who are selected by the organisers.”
The tournament is being organised by ex-Pakistan Test wicket-keeper Moin Khan with approval from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
It is slated to be held at National Stadium in Karachi on Sept 15 and 16 and feature teams from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.—Agencies
