KARACHI, Aug 7: Sindh Environment Adviser Muhammad Noman Saigal on Monday supervised a raid in Korangi Industrial Area and sealed a polythene bag factory for manufacturing low-quality bags.

According to a press statement, a local polythene bag factory, S.P. Enterprises, was sealed for manufacturing low-quality bags during the raid in Korangi Industrial Area. Its substandard bags were taken into custody and their samples were sent to the Plastic Technology Centre for laboratory examination.

The adviser issued directives to the officials concerned for sealing all those factories manufacturing polythene bags of less than 30 microns thickness. He directed the officials concerned to collect data of all those factories making substandard polythene bags within a week and seal them.—PPI
