Alternative rail track ready

HYDERABAD, Aug 4: Railway authorities completed work on an alternative track between Ran Pathani and Dhabeji stations on Friday night and the chief controller was asked to dispatch 10 bogies for a trial of the track.

“The track is ready for trial and we have been asked to send 10 empty bogies. The bogies are being sent there. Upcountry trains will be dispatched next to pass through the track if it performs satisfactorily,” Chief Controller Rizwan Butt said.

He said Khyber Mail, Sukkur Express and Khushhal Pakistan train would be sent for various upcountry destinations.

Sources said a limited speed would be allowed for the alternative track.

APP ADDS: The alternative link was restored at 10pm and all trains would run as per schedule.
