LAHORE, July 29: Four-year-old bay filly, Baker's Gal, who was beaten in her previous running, should oblige her connections by winning the feature event during the day and night Lahore Summer Meeting to be held at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Baker's Gal is contesting the Jallo Plate, a class IV division I and II handicap race to be gone over 1100 metres.

There are eleven runners barring last-minute withdrawals. Three weeks ago, Baker's Gal was beaten by Tuman Khan.

Harry Can View, My Own Job, Pawan and Bright Star should fight for the less remunerative positions.

This will be the seventh and last race of Sunday's card. The supporting and sixth event, a class IV division III handicap race, to be contested over 1100 metres has only seven acceptors.

Of them, three-year-old filly, Discovery, seems better against her six rivals. Big Bird and Royal Destiny should fight for the second place.

Three-year-old colt Jut Bahadar, fresh from his maiden victory on July 9 last will be on the trot to make it two in a row in the fifth race, a class V event over 900 metres. Safe And Sound, Byron and Cross Ruff should fight for the frame.

The colt, Golden Goal beaten on the last running a fortnight back should have no difficulty winning the fourth race. Royal Fish and Jewna are his next best.

Four-year-old filly, First Passion, running after a long absence from the track should prove her breeding quality against not so prominent runners in a field of eleven runners.

Scarlet Empress, Thinkable and Lovely Diana are the other form horses in the field.

Dancing Star, Dogar Gift, Tallal The Great and Simoom are the pick of eleven contestants in the third race The real contest should be between Dancing Star and Simoom, the latter having an edge on weight-scales.

A card of seven races will be down for decision. Five races will be contested over 900 metres while two over 1100 metres. The first race will be held at 5pm.
